Our Story

A Farm, A Field, A Home Away From Home

Crossgate has been a working farm since 1964 and has grown into one of the region's most loved campsites. With a peacock strutting round the yard, piglets in the barn, goats on the climbing frame, and The Cow Shed bar just steps away — there's nowhere quite like it.

We're nestled in the beautiful Peak District village of Tintwistle, right on the edge of the Longdendale Valley. Easy to reach from Manchester, Sheffield, and across the North West.

By Car: Set your sat nav to SK13 1HP, Tintwistle. From the A628 Woodhead Road, follow signs into Tintwistle village — the campsite entrance is signposted "Crossgate Campsite". Free on-site parking is available next to the field.

By Bus: The 237 bus runs through Tintwistle village — a short walk from the stop to the site.

By Train: Hadfield station is about 2 miles away. Taxis are readily available from there.
